Wahlin Foundation Presents $21,000 in Scholarships to 6 Southern Wisconsin Graduates

The Wahlin Foundation issued $21,000 in scholarships to six graduates from Stoughton, Brodhead and Evansville high schools this month. One $2,000 scholarship in each community goes to graduates attending technical college, and one $5,000 scholarship from each community goes to graduates attending a four-year college.


The Wahlin Foundation is a private, charitable foundation run by the Wahlin family, which owns STI Holdings and Stoughton Trailers. The foundation issues scholarships to high school graduates in the communities where the companies have offices and production facilities. 


Winners of the $5,000 scholarships for 2018 are Alexa Nelson, Stoughton High School; and Makayla Elwood, Evansville High School. Receiving a $2,000 scholarship are Tate Knutson, Stoughton High School; and Caitlin West, Evansville High School. At Brodhead High School, Jocelyn Manley received a technical college scholarship, and Holden Whitledge was the recipient of a four-year college scholarship.
