Who We Are

Stoughton Trailers, LLC was founded in 1961 by Don Wahlin. Originally called Stoughton Truck Body Inc., the company grew from a small family-owned business into one of the largest trailer manufacturers in North America. Headquartered in Stoughton, Wisconsin, we have additional manufacturing facilities in Evansville and Brodhead, Wisconsin, as well as Waco, Texas.

Innovation, performance, and safety are key values at Stoughton Trailers. Our product lineup includes Dry Vans, Refrigerated Trailers, Grain Trailers, and Intermodal Chassis. Different configurations ensure each product fits our customers’ specific needs. All are available for rent, lease, or purchase.

In 2016, we created a new type of rear underride guard to enhance safety — a product that has since become an industry standard. It’s a testament to our motto, “It’s in the Details,” which has earned us a reputation for quality design and engineering, superior service, and manufacturing expertise.
