Stoughton Trailers, LLC, a global leader in transportation equipment, is proud to announce the company has signed an agreement to purchase property located on the corner of highways 51 and B, in the far northwest corner of the City of Stoughton. The company’s plans for the site include the construction of a new corporate headquarters building, and possibly additional public and/or private developments depending on feasibility and local interest. “
We are excited to begin planning for our new administration building in a high visibility corridor that serves as a gateway into the Stoughton community,” said Stoughton Trailers President & CEO Bob Wahlin. “Our company has experienced tremendous growth, and we look forward to designing and constructing a state-of-the-art office building that reflects our long history, plus gives us plenty of room for future expansion.”
Stoughton Trailers has begun discussions with Stoughton city officials regarding its plans for the site. The purchase is contingent on satisfactory completion of several due diligence matters. A closing is expected in the fall of this year.
Since 1966, Stoughton Trailers administrative employees have been working from the company’s home office building at 416 S. Academy St., which is also home to the company’s engineering, research & design group and testing facility. Future plans for the current home office building have not yet been determined. The company will retain its existing manufacturing facilities in Stoughton, Brodhead and Evansville. “We’re proud of our Stoughton name, and this real estate investment demonstrates our deep commitment to the Stoughton community,” said Wahlin.
