Stoughton Trailers is proud to be a $3,000 Tournament Sponsor of the 2016 Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin Gala, which took place earlier this month at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis. Stoughton Trailers got involved with this American Cancer Society event when Brian Kahl, the company’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, volunteered to serve as the 2016 Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin Gala Board Chair.
This year was the organization’s ninth annual gala, and it proved to be a tremendous success: The event and other Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin campaigns raised $1.5 million for American Cancer Society cancer research, education, advocacy and service programs for the coming year. The gala is a combined effort of various college basketball coaches, staff and campuses throughout the state of Wisconsin, and it welcomed Notre Dame men’s basketball coach Mike Brey as the gala’s special guest speaker.
“This is the fourth year Wisconsin has held the top ranking for Coaches vs. Cancer event fundraising in the country, and this is due in part to the unwavering dedication of the Board Chair and Board of Ambassadors,” said Marieanna Wild of the American Cancer Society Midwest Division. “Brian Kahl’s tireless effort chairing this gala was instrumental to the success of the event and to the organization’s fight against cancer, and we are grateful for all Stoughton Trailers does for Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin.”
Congratulations to Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin, and to Brian for leading such an outstanding event.
